Care to Convert | James 5: 19-20 part 1

We have come to the end of the lessons from James, the half-brother of our Lord-Jesus Christ. James has taught us many lessons throughout his book, affectionately called religion in shoes. Many bible teachers refer to the book of James this way due to the practicality of his teachings. “James the just” had a practical down to earth view of how to live as a Christian.

He has taught many such lessons to his audience which from verse one we learned was to the scattered Jewish Christians, the diaspora-the dispersion, that he addressed. His teachings were concerning their behavior, or lack thereof in the church. He had to correct their shameless attitudes and their sinful actions throughout his letter. Right out of the gate he has to address their incorrect view of trials and temptations in chapter one. Continue reading
